Our midweek evening Bible study groups have this semester been going through the book of Revelation. Currently we are up to chapter 15 and 16. One of the key issues is to make the Scriptures relevant for today, and even in these chapters we see again our great God is a God who will pay back those who are against Him. Time and again we see the hand of grace given to all, and yet sinful man continually shakes his fist at God and curses Him rather than taking the warning that God will pay back for all evil done. Let us all be ready for the Day of Judgment comes like a thief in the night.
As we read in 1 Thessalonians 5 we have to be "self controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmut. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Niv) . Praise God that He has done this through His Son. Victory is accomplished in Christ.
Our Bible Study groups meet Tuesday and Wednesday evenings alternately every 2 weeks at 2 different venues.
