This morning we had a great prayer breakfast hosted at the Champion Lakes Christian Church. The Dale Prayer Breakfast is organised by the Armadale District Ministers Association as a yearly event. Guests included the Mayor of Armadale Lynton Reynolds, Professor Bruce Robinson, community leaders, business men and women and pastors from the various churches in the Armadale City region. Jim Bosma, secretary of the Ministers association was MC for the morning.
Mayor Lynton Reynolds spoke of the City councils work in the community, particulary focusing on the fact that people make the community, not just a set of buildings and infrastructure.
Professor Robinson, spoke on how best to be fathers in our families and how this expands in our community in the way our children grow up. Particularly using examples from his recent publications. www.brucerobinson.com.au
Time was also spent in praying for specific areas of the community, including, families, schools, council, emergency services and other areas.
The time was also a great way to network with other people in our community.
